Another approach might be to talk to tom at TM and see if he can buy the entire lot. If any of you deal with a screen printer on a regular basis, that is another possible avenue. If somebody else wants to run with this, I'll be more than happy to supply the artwork and work with the printer. I'm currently unemployed so I don't have the $350 to pony up for these tags. Things like cutting the screen printed sheets into individual tags, wrapping/bagging, postage, etc.īefore everyone gets excited and fills up my message box.

The bottom line is that these professionally produced serial number tags should cost about $1 ~ $2 depending on the finishing costs. This does not include the early tags, '47 & '48, since they are etched, as I recall. The artwork will include the serial number tags which were black on aluminum. 020" aluminum, (just like the originals) with black enamel suitable for outdoor exposure. I believe the originals were done with by screen printing.Īnyway, I just got a quote from a screen printer, and new, blank serial number tags may be closer than you think. I floated several possibilities including black anodizing, chemical machining, and screen printing.
